She is raised by a single mother who works fulltime as a nurse. Her good academic performance makes her a potential candidate at Yale University, and she is also part of the popular kids. Her world comes crashing down and she is deemed as a social outcast after her boyfriend leaks her private videos. No one sides with her during times of hardship and she is sent to work at a tennis court during summer. Eleanor is another Rosehill student who is also considered an outcast after Carissa spread a false rumor about her. Both girls plot together to seek revenge from their enemies.
