An assault is considered okay if you love the man is it true? Doesn’t seems like it to our Darlings showcasing bravery on the part of a victim of domestic violence. An alcoholic husband who comes home to assault his wife and she being madly in love with him makes a staple bun omelet as breakfast for him with having bruises all over.
This movie is dark humor over the sensitive subjects of domestic violence starring Alia Bhatt, Shefali Shah, and Vijay Varma. Badru falls head over heels for this roadside Romeo and marries him as soon as he lands a government job. Cut to three years later their married life is going down in the dumps as Bhatt is being beaten every night for one or the other reason.
A mother-daughter duo and their struggle to live and survive in a city like Mumbai. The courage they show in order to stand up against all odds was the highlight of the movie. This movie aggravates all the young independent women out there who would never tolerate violence for a single day however this movie will also make you sympathize with Badru on how she battles against all odds in desperation to keep her relationship alive.
