The Reverent is an oscar nominated movie inspired by actual events in the life of legendary frontierman Hugh Glass who suffers from an injury from a devastating bear attack.
A story backed up to 1823 when a group of people left for an exploration of the wilderness, the team left Glass in the wild to die and explore his survival skills to reach back to his confidants who abandoned him and betrayed him as a group collectively leading him to burn with a vengeance.
The camera work in this movie is quite Impressive it feels like you are traveling along with Glass on his journey through the wilderness and back to civilization. It is backed by incredible performances by DiCaprio and others leading it to become one of the oscar-nominated movies of all time.
The movie had a catchy tagline that survived the leaps of time saying, “one who has returned as if from the dead”. The movie was directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu and was written by Mark L. Smith, Alejandro G. Iñárritu, and Michael Punke.
