At her high school’s Spring Carnival, lovely Elle Evans (Joey King), a late bloomer who has never been kissed, decides to run a kissing booth. Unexpectedly, she ends up sharing a kiss with her secret crush, the quintessential bad boy, Noah Flynn (Jacob Elordi). Sparks fly, but there’s a small issue: Lee, her best friend (Joel Courtney), is Noah’s brother, and Noah is strictly off-limits under the terms of their friendship pact. When Elle realises she must finally make a decision between following the rules and following her emotions, her world is thrown upside down.
The Kissing Booth was released on Netflix on May 11, 2018, and was dubbed a commercial success by the service, due to it being widely viewed by subscribers, leading to the eventual production of a trilogy of films.
