Howl’s moving castle is a Japanese fantasy anime, directed by Miyazaki. Sophie is a young hatmaker who encounter the Witch of the Wastes in her shop. She is cursed to transform into an old lady. As she is trying to undo this curse, she finds herself working as a cleaner for Howl and gets caught up in between a war. This film has a perfect combination of magical elements and technology of the twentieth century.
This movie has very strong anti-war themes, since it’s inspired by America’s invasion of Iraq in 2003.
